The Lake Travis ISD board approved an amendment on June 9 to the district’s custodial services contract with Southeast Service Corporation (SSC), lowering the annual contract increase for 2025–26.
Under the contract’s CPI clause staff said the 2024 Consumer Price Index would have produced a 3% increase for the next school year. SSC agreed to reduce that increase to 1.5%, yielding an estimated district savings of $59,530 for fiscal year 2025–26. The amended annual contract price for the coming year was listed in board materials as $4,028,263.08.
Trustees moved and seconded approval during the meeting; the motion passed by voice vote. The amendment delegates authority to the superintendent or designee to execute the document.
District staff characterized the amendment as a continuation of an “outstanding partnership” with SSC and framed the result as a cost saving for the operating budget.
