Council approves two conditional use permits for Liberty Villas; site-plan conditions reduced to 13

The council approved two conditional use permits (CUPs) for a Liberty Villas project submitted by AEM Construction on behalf of Wilson Properties Group. Each CUP covers more-than-one-principal-building on a lot: one lot has two buildings and the other lot has two buildings as well. Staff said the plan commission and staff reviewed both CUPs and recommended approval; the site-plan review originally included 41 conditions at plan commission, which staff has since reduced to 13 outstanding conditions the applicant must address before final approvals are completed. City staff told the council that the conditional use permits now come to council for final approval under the revised review process and that staff will continue to work with the applicant on the remaining site-plan items. The council voted to approve the two CUPs.
