Frenship ISD staff on Monday gave a year-three update on the district strategic plan and announced a new districtwide volunteer initiative called Pause for a Cause to encourage student-led community service.
The update, presented by Keith Patrick, staff member, spotlighted work under six community-established goals, including recruitment, counseling partnerships and a district service model. Patrick said the recruitment work has produced a marketing and compensation push: “We now have the highest starting salary for teachers in our area,” he told the board, and administrators noted a 5% raise authorized through passage of the BATRE this year.
