Council backs extended liquor-license area for Bridal Gardens' October event

The Leonardtown Town Council on July 24 approved a letter of support for Bridal Gardens' request to extend the premises of its Class D liquor license for a one-day festival in October.
Michelle (Staff member) told the council the extension would cover an area used previously for similar events and would extend into the adjacent Ferry Trail area for the town's fall festival. The extension is for a single day and mirrors past approvals the town has granted for seasonal outdoor events.
A councilmember moved to approve the letter of support; a second followed and the motion passed on a voice vote.
Less critical: staff said the area has become popular for events and that the town has provided similar letters in previous years to facilitate temporary extensions for licensed premises during organized festivals.
