District unveils centralized teacher resources and planning tools ahead of 2025-26

Dr. Jessica Gainsworth said the district aims to create efficiencies and supports for teachers through a single location for resources and by leveraging teacher voice during June to shape documents and implementation. She emphasized alignment to the Georgia Standards of Excellence and referenced training and professional learning tied to the science of reading.
"We believe in the power of teacher voice," Dr. Gainsworth said, adding that the department uses teacher input and school-leader data to help school leaders make instructional decisions. Staff said the materials cover core subjects and partner areas and that district leaders expect the resources to support the start of the 2025-26 school year.
The presentation concluded with an invitation for questions; the board thanked teaching-and-learning staff and asked administrators to pass the board—s appreciation to the department.
