The superintendent told the board that construction at Metro North, including a gym and cafeteria extension, is progressing on schedule and that district and contractor teams will provide a site tour at the board's next meeting on Aug. 12. The superintendent said drone footage from June shows steady progress and that work on locker-room spaces is ongoing.
Finance staff informed the board that a final payment of about $35,000 for scoreboards was included in the claims and that the Northfield and Southwood locker project includes payments around $132,000 but that additional bond-related payments remain. The board approved claims and payroll for fiscal years '23 and '24 by voice vote; no individual roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The superintendent said the district plans to have the construction contractor attend the next meeting and to walk the project with board members so they can view the locker-room and other finished spaces. Board members asked for confirmation about remaining punch-list work and outstanding payments; finance staff said a final verification will precede final payment.
