Marshall County Council says general fund near record level, flags grant cuts and rainy-day questions

A council member reported to the Marshall County Council in July 2025 that the county’s general fund balance stood at about $11.3 million at the end of June, with roughly $4 million in the county’s rainy-day fund, leaving a combined cash cushion near $15 million.
