The committee also proposed inviting local businesses to engage with the program and exploring transportation strategies to increase internship access.
Calderon said the group expects to meet again over the summer to continue planning. No formal board action was recorded during the meeting on these items; they were presented as committee recommendations for staff and board consideration.
