County counsel and planning staff recommended that the board approve a deed to vacate the Skiff Cove subdivision plat so owners can convert the former cluster development into larger conventional lots. Attorney and planning staff said the petitioner complied with the statutory requirements for vacating a recorded plat after the sale of a lot; counsel reviewed the legal instruments and plats and recommended approval without a public hearing. Counsel said the documents are ready for the chairman’s execution and for the petitioner to obtain health-department sign-off and record the revised plat in the circuit court clerk’s office. A supervisor moved to approve the vacation and authorize the chairman to execute the instruments; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
