Commission approves three farmland protection easements, adds board member

Fayette County Commissioners approved three farmland protection easements and confirmed an appointment to the Farmland Protection Board on July 9. The easements cover properties at 512 Shelter Road (Fayetteville), 262 Bragg Hollow Road (Fayetteville) and 3334 Saturday Road (Victor).
A farmland protection board representative (identified in the meeting as the board director) presented maps and packet materials and requested commission approval. A commissioner moved to reapprove the three properties for farmland protection easements; the motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote. The commission also approved the nomination of Susanna Wheeler ("Susie") to join the Farmland Protection Board.
Board materials and maps were accepted and the chair directed the clerk to sign easement documents and proceed with the appointments and filings.
