Commission issues certificates of compliance and lifts enforcement order after site cleanups

The Southborough Conservation Commission voted to issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for two properties and to lift an enforcement order for a third property after staff confirmed remediation and stabilization.

At 17 Redgate Lane (DEP file 290-921), staff reported that yard debris previously within jurisdictional areas had been removed and that recent photographs submitted by the homeowner show the area cleaned; Joe (inspector) and commission members inspected the site and recommended issuance of a certificate. The commission voted unanimously to issue the COC.

At 77 Deerfoot Road (DEP file 290-1114), staff reported that, following site visits, the completed work is in substantial compliance with the approved as-built and that stabilization with grass was in place at the required levels. The commission voted to issue the COC.

An enforcement order for 98 Southville Road was also addressed. Staff and contractors reported that prior dumping and debris within resource areas had been removed; Joe visited the site and confirmed that previously identified piles and metal had been taken away and that remaining construction materials were active and related to permitted work. The property owners spoke to the commission to confirm cleanup. The commission voted to lift the enforcement order and to issue a Certificate of Compliance to be recorded at the registry of deeds.

All votes were taken at the meeting; COCs will be issued and recorded per standard procedures.
