Plainfield board approves hiring under Indiana code and several personnel hires

The Plainfield Community School Corp. board approved hiring an employee who required special consideration under Indiana law and accepted a group of personnel recommendations placed in the meeting addendum.

Board members considered a request related to Indiana Code section cited during the meeting for employees meeting certain criteria to be pulled from the general personnel report for separate action. The board approved the special consideration and then voted to accept the additional personnel recommendations contained in the meeting addendum.

Dr. W. McHugh asked the board for approval of the special consideration under the cited Indiana code provision. The board voted to approve the hiring under that code citation, then voted to approve the personnel list in the addendum. No individual personnel names or positions were read into the public record during the portion of the meeting in the transcript.

Both votes were taken during the meeting and recorded as approved; no opposing votes were recorded in the transcript.
