Dunn County and State crews outline summer resurfacing, bridge sealing and localized closures

Bridge-deck sealing contracts — described as a three‑year maintenance cycle — are being performed as nightly off‑peak lane closures; the presenter said crews started June 5 near Osseo and expect to be working on bridges in Dunn County within the next week or two.
On county-maintained roads, the highway department reported completed paving on County Road S (170 to County Road N, town of Tainter) and County Road G (Highway D to State Highway 25, town of Tainter), with remaining shoulder work and pavement marking expected in the coming weeks. County Road A (Menomonie city limits south toward 10th Avenue) has had paving started this week, with a second mat scheduled; staff estimated completion, including shoulders and cleanup, in roughly three weeks. The Irvington Hill portion of County Road D has curb and gutter under construction and paving expected to start in the next two weeks, with an early-July completion target. A bridge replacement on County Road V north of Highway 64 was described as planned for later in the year; no firm start date was given and the road will be closed for the duration of that project.
Staff said temporary detours and local lane restrictions will be in place for several projects. For one state project, drivers were asked to use Oak Avenue as a detour; for others, periodic flagging and off‑peak closures are planned. County crews and the sheriff’s office have coordinated traffic control for zones where through traffic is prohibited, and county staff asked residents to avoid construction areas and obey posted signs.
