The Sedalia City Council on July 7 approved a special appointment and ordinance confirming Matthew Wirt as city administrator.
The mayor announced the special appointment and read the appointment order; council then approved the appointment by motion and passed an ordinance approving an agreement between the City of Sedalia and Matthew Wirt on second and final reading (Bill No. 2025-122). The council voted in favor on roll call.
Wirt addressed the council briefly after the vote and thanked members, asked for patience and grace, and said he looked forward to working for the community.
