What staff said: subcommittee members who drafted the form said the document asks applicants for project goals, requested commission support, budgets and timelines. Brian (staff) said the form is "published on the form center" and that the commission will add introductory text before active outreach. Tracy said the parks and recreation and art-plan teams will monitor incoming submissions and coordinate outreach.
Workshop and scheduling: commissioners also discussed a longer implementation workshop that will include communications and promotion items. Communications Officer Maggie Aguilar asked to attend; commissioners and staff proposed rescheduling the planned workshop to a later August date so she can participate. Staff said they will send a proposed date to the commission for confirmation.
Next steps: finalize introductory wording on the form, have Parks and Recreation staff and JR handle initial outreach to community contacts, and confirm a new workshop date in August to review incoming proposals, subcommittee roles and near-term priorities.
