The Hot Springs Planning Commission re-elected Commissioner Bart Stafford as chair and selected Bill Lamont as vice chair during its July 10 meeting.
Commissioners opened nominations for chair and vice chair. Bart Stafford was nominated to continue as chair and was approved by voice vote. For vice chair, commissioners nominated Rick Raymick and Bill Lamont. The commission used a voice vote and a brief tally; the transcript records two votes for Raymick and five votes for Lamont, after which the chair declared Bill Lamont elected vice chair.
The nominations and voice votes were procedural matters handled at the meeting and recorded in the minutes. No formal ballots or contested debates were recorded beyond the voice votes and the chair’s tally. The commission then proceeded to the director’s report and adjourned.
These officer elections are internal organizational actions of the Planning Commission and will be reflected in meeting minutes and any subsequent commission communications.
