Representatives of the Roswell Hispano Chamber of Commerce presented an annual report to the City Council on July 10, summarizing membership growth, education-focused programming and community events that support local businesses and students.
What they reported: The chamber said it increased membership by 48 percent in six months, reinstated governance and financial reporting, and hired a new executive director. “We believe that education unlocks knowledge. Knowledge unleashes individual skills and entrepreneurship,” the presenter said, laying out the chamber’s mission to drive economic growth via education and business support.
Programs and events: The chamber described business workshops, a planned monthly “lunch and learn” procurement series to connect small firms with city contracting, and tourism-focused festivals including Pinata Fest and Cinco de Mayo events. The chamber said it received a $5,000 state tourism grant to improve its website presence for Pinata Fest and that the festival has drawn regional attention.
Ending: Chamber leaders said they will continue partnering with the city, educational institutions and workforce partners to align training and talent development with employer needs and asked for continued collaboration in 2026.
