Commission approves June minutes and routine claims; one commissioner abstains from minutes vote

The Greenway Police Merit Commission voted to approve the minutes of its June 12 meeting and approved routine claims at its July 10 meeting. A motion to approve the June 12 minutes was made and seconded; the chair called for the ayes and the minutes were approved. Recording secretary Melissa Weathers later noted that Commissioner Tricia Thompson ‘‘abstained since she wasn't here for the meeting.’’ The commission also considered a claim for $333 for attorney Linda Meyer’s services for June and per diem payments of $75 to commissioners for the regular meeting. A motion to approve the claims was made and seconded and the commission approved the payment by voice vote.
