WVMO plans summer events including Aug. 14 San Damiano celebration; committee hears station updates

The Monona Community Media Committee heard an operations update in its July meeting: WVMO staff announced a slate of tenth-anniversary events and summarized recent outreach work.
Will (AV representative, Monona Community Media) said the station planned a tenth-anniversary celebration on Aug. 14 at San Damiano and that additional events included a program on Aug. 22 at Harmony featuring Craig Bauman and a late‑August show tied to Atwood Music Hall featuring Tim O’Brien. Will said the station had distributed a press release and was coordinating with partners and volunteers.
Will also reported ongoing community outreach and profile video work: recent shoots included Burn Boot Camp, Job Abilities’ ribbon cutting, and a feature at Capital Hardwood. He noted the committee newsletter schedule and asked members to send items for the next issue.
No formal actions were taken on the report; Will was asked to keep the committee informed of event details and newsletter items.
