The Williamson County Planning Commission approved a site plan for a 6.56‑acre amenity area in the High Park Hill subdivision that will include tennis and pickleball courts, a fireplace feature and restroom facilities adjacent to a parking area.
During consideration of item 23, Brian Holcomb of M2 Group, the applicant’s representative, told commissioners that construction access is expected to be from an internal turnaround at the terminus of Florin Drive and through High Park Hill, not through the neighboring King's Chapel private gate. That response followed public comment earlier in the meeting from Warren Gardner, a King's Chapel resident, who said construction traffic for High Park Hill had been using his neighborhood’s private road and gate and urged county attention to the issue.
Staff recommended approval of the amended amenity site plan with standard conditions outlined in the packet; commissioners voted to approve the item by voice vote.
Outcome: Motion to approve item 23 passed on a voice vote.
Practical effect: Construction and permitting will proceed under the approved site plan and with the standard conditions in staff’s report. Neighbors concerned about construction access were told by the applicant that access will be routed through High Park Hill; the county’s role in enforcing HOA gate rules was noted as limited during public comment.
