At the July 10 meeting of the Committee of the Whole, members approved motions to have necessary legislation drafted for several agenda items: tabling the rezoning vote for 2705 Lehigh Place, drafting ordinances to continue membership and accept the Public Entities Pool (PEP) insurance renewal and a supplemental appropriation, preparing an ordinance to adopt a codified ordinances quarterly supplement with an emergency clause, drafting legislation for the 2025 parking lot paving rebid and preparing an automatic mutual aid agreement with the City of Dayton.
All motions were made and carried by roll call; the committee did not adopt final ordinances or awards at the committee meeting but authorized staff to draft the required legislation for the next regular council meeting. Staff advised that budget transfers for capital projects are internal and will be handled administratively but that emergency ordinances and contract awards will be brought to the council for action.
Why it matters: These actions move several pending items toward formal consideration by the full council and set the next steps for budget transfers, ordinance preparation and interlocal agreements.
