MORAINE, Ohio — The Moraine City Council held a public hearing July 10 on a request to rezone a 0.45-acre parcel at 2705 Lehigh Place from R‑4 to B‑1 so the site can be combined with an adjacent parcel for development of a Wawa convenience store, restaurant and gas station, City Planner Nick Suresi said.
The rezoning application, R‑01‑2025, was submitted to the Community Development Department April 29 by Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate Inc., and the Planning Commission recommended approval 5‑0 at its May 20 meeting, Suresi told council. "This public hearing is a formality of the Moraine codified ordinances chapter 11.27," he said, and the city posted a 30‑day public notice in the Dayton Daily News and on city channels.
