Committee endorses staff list for additional 2025 asphalt overlay, swaps two streets by consensus

Several alderpersons urged swapping Woodland Ridge (ranked in staff scoring as a 5) for Qua Street and Knox Street because those streets show more severe distress. After discussion, the committee signaled consensus to move Qua and Knox into the funded list in place of Woodland Ridge so the additional $250,000 of asphalt materials and available milling dollars would cover the revised list.
What happens next: Public Works will proceed to procure materials and bid milling/pulverizing work, and staff said the selected streets will be scheduled for paving during the 2025 construction season.
