Sky Islands Regional Partnership releases community events calendar including Aug. 23 expo and Dec. 6 Christmas parade

Upcoming items listed on-air include a Connect & Network mixer on July 18 at 6 p.m. at the Old Bisbee Brewing Company; the annual Expo on Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mall at Sierra Vista with vendor registration open; a community breakfast event on Sept. 9 at 7 a.m. at the Cochise College student union; the golf scramble Oct. 10 at the Sierra Vista Golf Center at Pueblo del Sol; Bring Event to Lunch on Nov. 5 (veteran seats donated); and the 66th annual Christmas parade Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m., with a Santa fly-in scheduled for Dec. 13.
Mellie said registration for events is open at skyislandsrp.com and encouraged businesses and residents to register early because spaces can fill. She noted the expo features a broad mix of vendors, from after-school programs to medical services and retirement resources.
The Sky Islands Regional Partnership is a nonprofit that organizes community business events in Sierra Vista and surrounding areas; Mellie said the group works with partner organizations such as the Douglas Business Network and the Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona to host mixers and community outreach events.
