COPTA approves multiple mobility-provider agreements, including Uber; staff adds new vendors after audits

Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority trustees approved professional services agreements with a set of mobility-service providers for various grant-funded programs, with an estimated annual cost of $1,168,000 retroactive to July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The item also included a separate resolution authorizing open-market purchases of transportation services for senior mobility and human services (estimated annual cost $150,000) retroactive to the same term. Staff said the annual procurement is routine but noted some providers changed: new names appear on the contract list and several previously used providers do not. Staff said the agency audits third-party companies that perform services under the authority’s name and has removed vendors that did not meet the authority’s service expectations. The board packet contains a detailed service outline for each vendor. Trustees moved, seconded and approved the item by voice vote. Staff and trustees noted the item is recurring and intended to ensure the authority has a pool of vetted vendors for supplementary mobility service needs that arise when agency resources are insufficient.
