Sheriff Mark Danos said the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fire at Coronado Wineries in Wilcox.
The fire produced dramatic images and video that circulated on social media, Danos said, and deputies and the investigative team were assigned to the incident. “If you saw that on the photos of that, the video of that, that was a pretty horrific sight,” he said on the KWCD First Watch program.
Danos said the office has not released full call information while investigators continue their work. The sheriff did not provide a cause, an estimated damage amount, or a timeline for when the office would release additional information.
Local fire departments and investigators responded to the scene, according to Danos. He said the investigative team has been busy with several cases over the same period and that information on the winery fire would be released when appropriate.
