The Ravalli County Board of County Commissioners on June 24 approved a notice of pending award to Millennium Construction for an airport improvement project in the amount of $2,212,308. The project is financed in part with federal funds, county staff said.

County staff explained the notice simply signals the county’s intent to award pending receipt of the contractor’s bond and insurance and concurrent concurrence and award from the Federal Aviation Administration. The email from Lance Bowser adding the item to the agenda stated the bid had been accepted and the pending award awaited the contractor’s administrative documents.

A commissioner moved and another seconded acceptance of the notice of pending award; the board voted aye and the motion carried. Commissioners instructed staff to proceed once the required contractor documentation and FAA concurrence are in place.

No public comment opposed the pending award at the meeting.
