Ravalli County commissioners on June 24 voted to accept a grant award from the Montana Board of Crime Control in the amount of $40,085.

County staff said the funds are administered by the state board and likely originate from federal sources filtered through state programs. The grant acceptance was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote at the meeting; commissioners recorded aye votes and the chair declared the motion carried.

County staff present thanked the presenter, who identified herself as Trish, for bringing the award to the board. Commissioners authorized execution of the grant with the chair's signature.

The meeting record contains no public comment opposed to the grant. The county did not attach additional conditions to the acceptance during the meeting.
