Cooney told the board the Fund 30 budget allocation for the project was $2,690,000, leaving an estimated unexpended balance of $947,000 that could be reallocated to another district project or returned to capital reserve at year-end audit. Projects for Grant and Roosevelt elementary schools will go to bid shortly; Grant is budgeted at $595,060 and Roosevelt at $347,060.
The junior-senior academic wing roof replacement was also scheduled to go out to bid with a budgeted construction amount of $1,756,000 and architectural costs estimated at $156,000. Cooney noted a bid walkthrough was scheduled for the next day, and the next Buildings & Grounds meeting was set for June 9.
