Carroll County Public Service Authority staff reported on June 2 that a quoted cost to extend sewer service on Expansion Drive ranges from approximately $45,000 to $60,000 depending on final material and labor prices.
Mike, PSA staff member, said the original quote to the property owner was about $60,000 for materials and subcontractor labor. He added that materials prices might allow a lower construction cost and estimated a final range of about $45,000 to $60,000 until a contract or agreement with the property owner is signed.
The authority has contacted the property owner and provided the quote but had "not really heard anything back yet," Mike said. No vote or contract was approved during the meeting.
Why it matters: The quoted cost determines whether the property owner will proceed and whether PSA will include the project in near-term operations. Staff noted exact pricing will be known only after contractual commitments and final material/labor bids.
PSA will await the property owner's decision before taking further action.
