Board members agreed to allow the public hearing to proceed because the item had been advertised; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. Mr. Jesse moved to refer amendment 25‑05 to the Planning Commission; Mr. Crittenden seconded. The board approved the referral by roll call.
Staff said they will perform a detailed audit of the subdivision ordinance, including preliminary-plat requirements and water‑hookup provisions, and return the reconciled ordinance to the board after Planning Commission review. One board member suggested the county consider referencing state code text directly in the local ordinance to reduce future amendment frequency as state law evolves.
