City staff explained the donation is not required under inclusionary zoning because the project’s land‑use approvals predated the ordinance; the developer offered the donation during approvals and plans to deliver it in three equal installments as each of the project’s three buildings opens. The board formally moved, seconded and approved a motion to accept the donation ‘‘up to $100,000’’ by roll call; recorded votes were affirmative for the trustees present.
Staff characterized the donation as unrestricted Trust funding that could support Trust priorities; trustees welcomed the contribution and asked staff to confirm receipt schedules so funds can be incorporated into future RFP planning, should the board receive Community Preservation Committee awards. The motion passed by unanimous recorded roll call.
