The motion passed by voice vote.
Offerman also presented a motion to approve an agreement with Polar Engraving to support the Veterans Memorial project and to begin a brick fundraising campaign; council approved the motion. The presenter described brick options and prices: 4-by-8 red bricks for $100, 8-by-8 red bricks for $150 and a 4-by-4 replica coaster for $15. The borough's website, the presenter said, contains ordering information.
The council did not discuss the total fundraising goal, a construction timetable, or installation logistics at the meeting; Offerman said engineering concepts and an estimated engineering cost for the memorial would be provided separately by the borough's engineer. Council approved the appointments and the Polar Engraving agreement by voice votes.
