Amanda DePaulis, chair of the zoning and land‑use committee, moved the item and the council approved the motion by voice vote. In her planning and zoning report earlier, DePaulis also summarized the department's April permit and inspection activity and said a copy of the report would be available at the borough building for public review.
Separately, the borough solicitor reported she is preparing an amendment to the zoning ordinance to improve enforcement of signs that have appeared in the borough and expects to present a draft for the formal amendment process next month. The solicitor also noted a non‑zoning ordinance on the agenda — the parks alcohol ordinance approved at the meeting — which modifies park rules to permit alcohol at borough‑sponsored events.
