Amber, the borough engineer, told the council that GTRP applications are due at the end of the month and the resolution was on the meeting agenda to permit submission for asphalt basketball court improvements at Heritage Hill. "Applications are due at the end of this month and there is a resolution on the agenda tonight, for borough's council's consideration for the asphalt basketball court and its court improvements project located at Heritage Hill," she said.
The resolution passed by voice vote. The borough expects a required local match of 15 percent, which the council recorded as approximately $35,500. The engineer also reported that the borough is scheduling a property survey related to other potential demolition projects and said final inspections were pending to close out other park projects.
Council did not specify the source of the 15 percent match during the motion, nor did it attach a funding ordinance in the meeting record. The resolution authorizes the borough to request the GTRP grant; award and final contract terms remain contingent on Commonwealth Financing Authority grant approval.
