The board voted to create a director of curriculum and instruction and a director of operations, and approved appointments of Marcia Roach as director of curriculum and instruction and Nikki Campbell as director of operations, each for three-year terms beginning Aug. 1, 2025. The board also approved up to five transition days this July for incoming directors and cleared a group of resignations and hires as part of a consent package.
Board members said the changes follow recent retirements and a decision not to refill some prior central-office posts. "We will not replace the assistant superintendent, the coordinator of curriculum and instruction, nor the director of human resources positions," a board presenter said, and said the responsibilities formerly held by those roles will be shared among the new directors, the superintendent's office and the treasurer's office.
