Blaine Howell of Western Engineering told the board the project focuses on corrugated metal storm sewer pipe in the Cooper subdivision totaling approximately 1,900 linear feet. The work will install an internal liner to extend the pipe life with minimal excavation and preserve road and surface restoration areas. The project scope includes one repair where the pipe is collapsed and one panel warranty repair for maintenance purposes.
The board moved, seconded and approved a motion to accept plans and specifications prepared by staff in coordination with Western Engineering and to authorize staff to advertise the Cooper’s drainage relining project for bid. The motion passed by voice vote; all present board members said "aye." Staff did not present bid figures at the meeting; the ordinance and bidding timeline will follow the standard procurement process.
