The Worcester License Commission approved a request permitting the Palladium to use its adjacent parking lot for overflow during a June 29 event while keeping liquor service tied to the venue's existing licensed area.

Chris Bisa told the commission the event is primarily inside the Palladium but organizers are seeking the parking-lot license in case they need additional space for up to 500–600 people. He said liquor would continue to be served from the venue's licensed section and that police and security were already scheduled for the indoor event.

Staff and police said they would handle any incidents by contacting officers working the detail or Mr. Bisa directly. The commission voted to approve the request with no recorded objections.

The commission reminded the applicant that the ABCC review process and local inspections remain part of licensing when alcohol is involved and that applicants must secure final health and fire approvals before operating under a license.
