The Improvement and Services Committee approved a sole-source contract on July 9 to Faith Technologies Inc. for the 2025 Raynitschke (Main Street) bridge controls programming in the amount of $50,089.
Staff explained the city used a sole-source procurement because Faith Technologies performed the original bridge programming and is the contractor the Department of Transportation used. City staff said Faith’s familiarity with the existing ladder logic and the DOT’s setup will reduce cost and complexity as the city finishes the bridge hydraulics and integrates new alarms and controls into the operating software.
The committee approved the sole-source award on a voice vote.
