Committee sets Aug. 13 public hearing before planning commission on building-permit zoning amendments

At the June 24, 2025, meeting, the City of New Berlin Committee of the Whole voted unanimously to recommend that the common council schedule a public hearing for Aug. 13, 2025, at 6 p.m. before the planning commission on proposed amendments to the zoning code, Chapter 275-25 (building permits).

The committee introduced the item as “recommend that a common council that a public hearing be set for 08/13/2025 at 6PM to be held before the planning commission on the amendments to the zoning code, chapter 2 75 dash 25 building permits.” The motion to set the hearing was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.

No text of the proposed amendments was read into the committee record during the meeting; the committee did not debate changes on the floor. The planning commission public hearing will provide the public and commissioners an opportunity to review the proposed ordinance text and comment before any council action is taken.
