Committee approves developer agreement to install infrastructure for Pines subdivision

The Green Bay Improvement and Services Committee on July 9 approved a developer agreement with Broadway Realty LLC to install pavement and sanitary, storm and water utilities for the proposed Pines subdivision.
City staff showed a GIS map of the site near Highland Park and said the developer intends to install infrastructure this year for a group of smaller, rental homes. After construction and inspection the developer will dedicate the streets and utilities to the city, staff said.
Director of Public Works summarized the agreement as covering the “utility package” — sanitary, stormwater and pavement — and said the developer’s package is the city’s standard template for these projects. Committee members asked procedural questions about how the subdivision related to earlier council land-use actions; staff said the developer previously appeared before council and the agreement focuses on on-site utilities and public improvements that will be inspected and dedicated to the city upon acceptance.
Motion to approve the developer agreement passed on a voice vote.
The agreement authorizes the developer to complete public streets and utilities to city standards, after which the city will assume ownership and maintenance responsibilities for the dedicated streets and utilities.
