City staff report 54 trees removed in C1 zone; closed session planned for strategy

"It was determined that there were 54 trees, 4 inch, DBH or higher that were removed," Dan, the city staff member who gave the update, said. He told the committee staff conducted a property survey on May 30 to quantify removals.
Dan said the removals violate city code for the C1 portion of the property and that the matter will be discussed in closed session later the same night to consider strategy. He invited further questions to be raised during the closed-session discussion.
No formal enforcement action was announced in open session; staff indicated additional legal or enforcement steps would be addressed in the closed session. The committee adjourned after the scheduled closed-session discussion was added to the meeting agenda.
