The contract requires a local match of $12,400 that county staff said is budgeted; the board approved the contract on a motion by Commissioner Kelly.
Finance staff sought cleanup adjustments in the small grants fund before fiscal year end. They said the county received $21,360 from the Georgia Trauma Commission (higher than an earlier estimate of $12,000) and used the funds, in part, to buy a LUCAS device for emergency medical services. Staff also noted a hazard‑mitigation grant previously approved by the board that requires payment to the regional commission for plan updates; staff requested a budget amendment to have funds available when the invoice arrives, which they expect in August or September.
Finally, the board approved an indirect‑cost allocation budget amendment for vehicle maintenance for June 2025 (about $108,500) and discussed moving certain internal service funds into the general fund to simplify accounting during next year’s budget process.
All grant acceptances and budget amendments were approved by motions recorded in the meeting; staff said they will follow up with invoices and project‑specific reporting as required by grantors.
