Committee approves Spring Hill Suites liquor application and renews Dave & Buster's arcade license

The Government Affairs Committee voted June 17 to recommend approval of two routine licensing items: a new Class B beer and reserve Class B liquor license application for JAK Hotel LLC doing business as Spring Hill Suites, 10411 West Watertown Plank Road, and the renewal application for an amusement arcade license for Dave & Buster's of Wisconsin Inc. for the 2025'2026 licensing period.
Staff said the Spring Hill Suites applicant met qualifications and that the background check and departmental reviews showed no outstanding issues; staff noted a pending fire-department review that staff expected to complete before the full council meeting. The applicant was not present for the committee hearing.
For Dave & Buster's, staff reported the police department review raised no issues and recommended renewal for the licensing period.
Both items were moved, seconded and approved by unanimous voice vote in committee; staff will forward the recommendations to the common council for final action.
