HTA told the committees that the agency has established an administrative team, including the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS), HTA, the Hawaii Convention Center and retained project management and design contractors, to oversee repairs to the center’s rooftop.
An HTA representative said the RFP for a project management contractor was out with a response deadline moved from June 20 to July 11. HTA staff told the committees that, as of the briefing, the project remained on schedule for construction to begin January 1, and that DAGS would lead the construction phase.
Committee members requested written scheduling and procurement timelines and asked that HTA provide regular status reports to the chairs while the RFP and selection process is completed.
