Planning and Zoning commission approves routine rezones, special-use permits and permit extensions; several items carried by voice vote

The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission approved a slate of rezones, special-use permits and time extensions during a meeting that also included presentations and a separate public hearing on the general plan.

The commission approved staff recommendations on multiple agenda items, including: rescission of Board of Supervisors Resolution 2025038 regarding a 150-foot wireless telecom tower and acceptance of a new special-use permit proposal (item 1); rezone requests to smaller agricultural residential lot sizes in Lake Havasu and Golden Valley (items 2 and 3); multiple commercial rezones and special-use permits for highway-frontage commercial development and billboards in the White Hills area (items 5–8); and several other minor land-division and rezone requests (items 4, 10–13).

Notable non-residential decisions included approval of a special-use permit to recognize an existing four-space RV park and bring it into compliance with county standards (item 9) and a second extension of time for a special-use permit originally approved by Board of Supervisors Resolution 2022-214 to allow construction of a 100-foot telecommunications facility…
