Morton Grove Days organizers thanked; commission reports carnival share and sponsorship receipts

The Morton Grove Board of Trustees used part of its July 8, 2025, meeting to thank organizers and volunteers of Morton Grove Days and to hear preliminary revenue figures for the event.

The presiding official opened the remarks by thanking the Morton Grove Days Commission, staff and volunteers for staging the four-day event and the Fourth of July parade. The presiding official named commission members who helped plan and run the event.

Trustee Mink reported that, to date, the village's share of carnival revenues totaled $47,998.10 and that the commission received $49,949.30 in sponsorships. "Everyone is dedicated in this group, and believe it or not, we've all begun the processes for next year's event," Trustee Mink said. He also said the commission is still collecting information on revenues and expenditures for accuracy review.

A resident, Bill Page, told trustees he attended Morton Grove Days remotely and complimented the event and the fireworks. No formal action or budget approvals tied to the Morton Grove Days figures were recorded at the meeting.
