The El Segundo Unified School District Board of Education approved three master contracts July 8 with nonpublic agencies to provide individualized behavioral services for students whose individualized education programs (IEPs) indicate those services.
Doctor Plotkin, introducing the items, said the agreements were master contracts with nonpublic agencies to provide behavioral services and recommended approval. The board approved a master contract with the Stepping Stones Group; a master agreement with Inclusive Education and Community Partnership (IECP); and a contract with First Steps for Kids. Each item passed on voice vote with board members saying “aye.”
The contracts were presented as part of the district’s regular special-education business; no fiscal totals or contract durations were read into the record during the July 8 meeting. The board did not discuss amendments to the contracts during the meeting.
District staff recommended approval to ensure services are in place for students when they are required by IEPs; board members approved all three contracts unanimously.
