The Kuna Joint District Board of Trustees approved an amended memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a donor organization referred to in the meeting as "Dialed," and separately approved purchasing a new score table for Kuna High School’s gym using funds from that agreement.
A trustee said the amended MOU will provide $2.3 million to the district to be paid over 10 years; during discussion the board heard a proposed payment schedule that begins with a $100,000 first payment, a $400,000 second payment, and then annual payments (reported in the meeting as $200,000 per year thereafter). The schedule and total were described by trustees during discussion; the board approved the amended MOU by voice vote.
Staff told the board that the first Dialed payment was intended for athletics and that Kuna High requested a new permanent score table because the current table must be wheeled in and out and its mobility hardware is failing. The board approved the NEVCO quote for a score table priced at $24,637.75; staff said the vendor had not yet been ordered and purchase would be made once funds were available under the MOU.
Hillary (board member) explicitly summarized the MOU terms during discussion: "I just think it's now it's for 2,300,000.0 to be paid Over 10 years," and described the payment sequence discussed at the meeting. Board members expressed appreciation that the amended agreement includes fewer restrictions on the use of funds than a prior agreement.
Actions taken: the board approved the amended MOU and separately approved the NEVCO score‑table quote. Staff said they would proceed with ordering once the first MOU payment is received and the vendor timeline permits delivery.
