Adams County hires tourism director to promote local attractions and economic activity

Economic development staff said Adams County has lagged neighboring counties that have visitor bureaus and that a formal tourism program can promote businesses, boost hotel and restaurant receipts, and expand support for local events and youth programs. Neal said she will prioritize partnerships with regional tourism groups, coordinate with the county vision plan and meet individually with council and commissioners to gather local priorities and ideas.
